ComteQ Publishing is not a "book factory." We offer authors personal attention to make sure their book reflects their vision and needs, and not the requirements or limitations of printing equipment. We take pride in what we produce, not just use a cookie-cutter format, cheap paper and ink that often smears if water gets on a page, just to keep costs seeming low. We know you expect excellence and we strive to attain it.

But more importantly, we attempt to get the book produced and delivered to you at the best price we can, so that if you, in fact, are the one who is out there generating sales through your efforts, then you should get the greatest rewards possible. So looking at it like a royalty, if you sell the book, you get a 100% royalty. If we sell the book, you get a 25-40% royalty. Of course, the numbers have to be crunched in terms of total cost and total profit for any given book to see just how much it all amounts to, but two things we've heard from various individuals who have gone the POD route: 1. Quality wise, you get what you pay for. 2. Whether through customer service issues, actual final costs, contractual issues, etc., they have regretted their decision or wish to change to us.

This is not a put-down of the big POD publishers who have, extremely successfully, created a new market for authors and books and who are offering deals that seem irresistible. But it is a quantity, machine-based approach and does work fine for many individuals.

We provide all the design, production and support services such as ISBN, EAN barcode, registration in Books In Print, Library of Congress catalogue number, online ordering and fulfillment, wholesale distributors, etc.

Since it's authors who really "sell" books and not publishers, this kind of arrangement enables authors to get a product into their own hands and somewhat control their destiny if they believe there is a market for their story.

Of course, if you can find a traditional publisher willing to invest in your book, that's the best, but it's likely a pretty difficult task in this day and age.
